One of Mabuhay Alliance’s strengths as an organization is its contact and good relationships with national supplier diversity directors of various corporations and financial institutions. It is part of our objective that small- and micro-businesses from San Diego receive contracts either second, third or fourth tier from the main suppliers of the Fortune 500 companies. We are engaged in developing pilot programs to give small minority- businesses a chance to compete with larger companies and are given an actual contract from the big corporations. Mabuhay Alliance does not usually host tradeshows or typical networking events, rather, the organization narrows down businesses that can actually be included on the bidding of a current or new contract with larger corporations. We advocate to the larger corporations and to their first tier suppliers, on behalf of our selected business owners that had undergone technical training with us and are ready to do business with the bigger companies.
