Low Income Energy Efficiency Program

The LIEE program provides no-cost weatherization services to low-income households who meet the CARE (California Alternative Rates to Energy) income guidelines. Services provided include attic insulation, energy efficient refrigerators, energy efficient furnaces, weather-stripping, caulking, low-flow showerheads, water heater blankets, and door and building envelope repairs which reduce air infiltration. Mabuhay Alliance is an authorized agent to submit your application for this program. Download the application below and fax back to (858) 586-7386.

 

Established by statute in the CA Public Utilities Code Operated by PG&E, SCG, SDG&E, and SCE since the 1980’s. Also operated by small and multi-jurisdictional utilities (SMJU) throughout the state. Funded by non low-income ratepayers through the Public Goods Charge on utility bills. Implemented by the utilities with CPUC oversight and input by Low Income Oversight Board (LIOB).
