Panel Discussion on Broadband Hosted by Mabuhay Alliance
Posted On: February 1, 2010
Mabuhay Alliance, in coordination with Greenlining Institute, will a host a conference to discuss the impact of broadband on the Asian American community. Specifically, the panel will discuss the efforts that are needed to reach out to various ethnic Asian American groups (i.e. how the Mong community will be targeted in a different manner than that of Korean, Filipino and Vietnamese communities). In addition, the discussion will also focus on the different programs and approaches of companies, corporations and the government targeted towards the new generation of Asian American immigrants.
The panel will be led by AT&T and Verizon, with expected participation from FTC, FCC and a number of major banks. AT&T, Verizon, First American and the FDIC are playing a major role in the panel. We are also expecting participation from the FCC and a major financial institution. The panel discussion will be facilitated by Samuel Kang, Managing Attorney at the Greenlining Institute.
The conference will be held on February 19, 2010.
