Mabuhay Alliance counselors are available to meet with you to discuss your mortgage delinquency. We understand that in this difficult time you just want to know how to move forward and what options you have available. By meeting with a housing counselor you will:

• Determine where you stand in the delinquency cycle
• Find out what options your lender has in resolving your mortgage default
• Work with the counselor in reviewing your household budget
• Set a plan of action to your unique situation

All homeowners are different, and a cookie cutter approach will not work for resolving your situation. Free Tax Preparation By Volunteers

Puzzled by the tax law or which credits and deductions to take? Need assistance with your tax return? 
 
You may want to visit a Mabuhay Alliance’s site. The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offer free tax help if you qualify. 
 
Trained community volunteers can help you with special credits, such as Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit for which you may qualify. In addition to free tax return preparation assistance, most sites also offer free electronic filing (e-filing). Individuals taking advantage of the e-file program will receive their refunds in half the time compared to returns filed on paper – even faster if you have your refund deposited directly into your bank account.
